The Untamed Coyote
I visited a shop in Corrales, New Mexico summer of 2025. When I walked through the door, I spotted the artwork of a blue coyote. The owner was the artist and shared the story of Charlie. A woman found him as a pup and took him in. His den had been destroyed and he was all alone. He was inspiration for some of her work. She told me how the woman who found him, knew Charlie was a coyote and his wild nature needed to be respected. He was a blend of being domestic and needing to be free. I connected to the story of Charlie, as I lost my den and was on my own for a long time. In 2014, the Coyote crossed my path like crazy and I began studying them. I have a strong connection to the Coyote.
I’ve not only studied Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, I have been diagnosed. I have also studying and utilized techniques for Post Traumatic Growth. Peace and Healing comes in many forms.
Like Charlie, all Untamed Coyotes need to be loved with the respect that works best for them. It’s ideal for those around them to be informed and educated on what they need.
